                                 Types of SEO

There are two types of SEO

   1.On-Page SEO

   2.Off-Page SEO

On-page SEO is all about our website. Using catchy titles, tags, themes, etc falls under on-page SEO. Off-page SEO is making our SEO-ready blog acceptable to search engines which takes real dedication and hard work and a long period of time. I will try to explain everything about on-page SEO and off-page SEO in this post.

On-page SEO

Creating our website, posting articles, titles, tags, everything is on-page SEO. In other words, in the case of on-page SEO, all the work is inside our website. Here are some things we should follow while doing on-page SEO:

We always use a theme that looks stylish and has more features. But, search engines want a very simple, simple, light, easy-to-use theme. The more stylish our theme is and the more functions we have, the more JavaScript and heavy coding our theme will have, which will make our theme heavier in size and take a lot more time to load which has very bad for SEO. So first our job will be to select a lightweight simple theme.

In this case, we can use the Median Ui theme. This is by far the lightest theme that can load the whole site in less than 2 seconds. we can use a free or a premium version of this theme. And after creating our website, you can check the speed of the site with the Google Page Speed Insight tool. I have created my website with the premium version of this theme.

1. My site: theteces.blogspot.com In addition to good themes, the quality of our hosting must be good. I use Blogger for my blog cause it is free as well as very fast. If we use a WordPress site then use a plugin for better website performance. In this case, if we want to use it for free, I would recommend the Autoptimize plugin or we can use the paid Wp rocket plugin.

2. Keyword Research: After creating our website, our job is to make unique and valuable content for our website. we should select a topic to write content for our website. we should understand our user interests by analyzing our audience we can also use a google search engine to find out what people are searching for about our topic. we can also use some tools to figure out our user interests such as "Ahref keyword research tool".

3. Focus Keywords: After finishing the keyword research, we should select a focus keyword of one or two words. For example, in this post, I have chosen the focus keyword "SEO". Now when we write content, we should focus the keyword everywhere, including the first paragraph of the content, the whole content, headline tags, image alt tags, captions, tags.

4. Title: Post titles should be chosen very carefully to attract our audience to visit our blog. If we don't give interesting titles then we would notice that we are getting quite good impressions from Search Engines. But we are not getting enough visitors compared. So try to post interesting and small-sized titles.

5. Content: Our content must be 100% unique and informative from which the visitors will benefit. When a visitor finds our blog helpful and valuable Search Engines will find the same. And don't change any copied content a little and keep it as how it is. The Google bot will catch it right easily.

6. Headings: For our content to rank on Google, our focus keywords and titles must be used in the internal headings of the post (H1, H2, H3). In addition to the title, we can also use the title and focus keywords in bold. And do it in such a way that Google thinks we did it for the benefit of the visitors and not to get a rank with Google.

7. Media: Our content must contain media files (images, videos, etc). We should upload quality and catchy pictures with low file sizes. Bigger-sized images take a long time to load and lower our SEO. We can use Image lazy loading for faster loading. Try to use the title or focus keyword in the caption and alt tag of the images. Make sure we add unique featured images to the post.

8. Tags: Tags are very important for our content. We should think like an audience who needs help with something. Think of the words that the audience will search for. Now select tags from the perspective of that audience. Use focus keywords and titles as tags too.

After learning about on-page SEO, our job is to submit our SEO-ready website to Google. As we have an SEO-ready site, we should now inform google about our site that it could index and rank our site. We should follow some rules to do the off-page SEO:

1. Property Verification: At first we have to submit our website to a google search console account and verify that we are the owner of this website. Then we should submit website links to google that it could index and rank them. This process can be automated by creating a sitemap and submitting it to google.

2. Sitemap Creation: After adding a website to Search Console, a list of all the posts, pages, and categories on our website must be submitted to Google in an XML file to let Google know what content is on our website. We can create automatic sitemaps for our site from here or here.

3. Domain Authority: The domain authority depends on the age of our domain. If you have an older domain that means you have a higher authority over google. The higher our domain authority, the more acceptable our site will be to Google.

4. Backlinks: Backlinks are links that we see inside a post or a comment that connects a website with our posts. Use backlinks in your post's so that whenever someone needs to know something about sudden things about your post they could easily find them on your own website and you get views on other related topics you posted on that issue also. Usually, people post their articles on renowned websites and include their website links into the post so that people might visit his blog and he will earn some page views. This method is called guest posting. For example:

“Visit my blog to learn more”

Here in the upper line, I set the word “blog” as a backlink which will take you to the address "https://theteces.blogspot.com". Backlinks improve our impression on search engines thus giving us SEO. The most popular websites to get backlinks are Linkedin, Pinterest, Medium, Quora, Facebook.

Backlinks are the most effective way for a website to earn a large number of page views without even ranking on Search Engines. So make sure to use them on your own website and on guest posts of other's renowned websites and comments. Read more about backlinks
